In the ophthalmologic examination, the patient was found to have a cataract and operation was planned. During his cataract operation, the IOL's leg was trapped in the cartridge and broken. Small-incision IOL exchange using the hand-fan technique was performed. We believe that this method can be performed safely in patients who need to undergo IOL exchange.
