Coexistence of cataract and glaucoma disease increases with an increase in life expectancy and includes anatomic and functional changes that may lead to intraocular pressure changes. Planned phacoemulsifi cation surgery in patients with ocular hypertension, open-angle glaucoma, angle-closure glaucoma, antiglaucomatous drug therapy or glaucoma surgery needs to reorganise the antiglaucomatous treatment before, during and after surgery. In this review, intraocular pressure changes brought by cataract surgery in patients with glaucoma, physiopathology of these changes, antiglaucomatous treatment planning after cataract surgery, ocular surface changes and how glaucoma progression follow-up were investigated. Keywords : Open-angle glaucoma, narrow-angle glaucoma, ocular hypertension, phacoemulsifi cation, intraocular pressure
