Purpose: To evaluate corneal biomechanical properties in glaucoma patients (primary open angle glaucoma, normal tension glaucoma, pseudoexfoliation glaucoma) using the Ocular Response Analyzer.

Materials and Methods: One hundred fourteen primary open angle glaucoma, normal tension glaucoma and pseudoexfoliation glaucoma patients and 45 healthy volunteers (control group), total of 159 individuals were included in the study. Right eyes of 159 individuals were included in the study. Corneal compensated intraocular pressure, Goldmann correlated intraocular pressure, corneal hysteresis and corneal resistance factor were measured by Ocular Response Analyzer device.

Results: The mean ages were 64.84±9.42, 66.86±8.56, 68.40±9.18 and 67.93±9.62 years in primary open angle glaucoma, normal tension glaucoma, pseudoexfoliation glaucoma and control groups, respectively (p=0.272). Corneal compensated intraocular pressure values in primary open angle glaucoma and pseudoexfoliation glaucoma were statistically signifi cantly higher than controls (p values 0.030 and 0.005, respectively). Corneal hysteresis values in open angle glaucoma and pseudoexfoliation glaucoma were statistically signifi cantly lower than controls (p<0.001). Corneal hysteresis value in pseudoexfoliation glaucoma was statistically signifi cantly lower than normal tension glaucoma (p=0.031). Corneal resistance factor value in pseudoexfoliation glaucoma was statistically signifi cantly lower than controls (p=0.001). There were not statistically signifi cant difference among Goldmann correlated intraocular pressure values (p=0.477).

Conclusion: Corneal hysteresis decrease in primary open angle glaucoma, normal tension glaucoma and pseudoexfoliation glaucoma give rise to thought corneal biomechanical importance in glaucoma patients diagnose and follow-up. Keywords : Glaucoma, ocular response analyzer, corneal biomechanical properties
