Purpose: To compare the anterior segment measurements obtained by combined Scheimpflug-Placido disk topography system (Sirius, CSO Inc.) with IOLMaster Partial Coherence Interferometry (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Germany) .

Material and methods: A total of 100 eyes of 50 healthy individuals (29 males; 21 females) were included in this study. Anterior chamber depth (ACD), keratometry (flat K and steep K) and corneal astigmatism (CA) were measured with Sirius and IOLMaster. The difference between both devices measurements were analysed using Bland-Altman plot and paired t-test, and concordance between them was assessed by calculating 95% limits of agreement.

Results: The mean age of cases was 40,06±8,31 (range, 26-64) years. The flat K, steep K and CA values were signifi cantly lower while the ACD readings obtained by the Sirius was higher(p<0.05). Mean values of the ACD, flat K, steep K and CA taken with the Sirius were 3.50 ± 0.42 mm, 42.75 ±1.14 D, 43.48 ± 1.12 D and -0.73 ± 0.42 D, respectively. Same measurements taken with the IOLMaster lead to -0.85 ± 0.49 D, 3.40 ± 0.41 mm, 42.87 ± 1.16 D and 43.70 ± 1.11 D, respectively. There was a high correlation between the two devices for ACD, flat K and steep K ( r=0.956, r=0.973, and r=0.975, respectively, p<0.05).

Conclusion: ACD and Keratometry values measured with Sirius system and IOLMaster were a statistically signifi cant difference but measurement differences between the devices were clinically negligible. ACD and Keratometry measurements of both devices may provide comparable values in daily practice. Keywords : IOLMaster, Sirius, optical biometry, anterior segment parameters
