What is the Best Treatment of Microspherophakia That Pupillary Block Caused Intraocular Pressure Elevation?

Microspherophakia is the defective development of lens zonules caused a rare congenital anomali. Spherical, unstabil and subluxated lens causes low visual acuity and pupillary block. When all treatment options considered, antiglaucoma medication, surgery for lens, laser or glaucoma surgery, are not single permanent treatment. It is clear that these patients require under the control, all of their life for rehabilitation of vision and antiglaucoma medication even if have been performed surgery. In this study, we aimed evaluation of treatment options in management of young case by referring to the current literature who presented our clinic with low vision and pupillary block caused angle closure glaucoma.
