Professor, Ulucanlar Eye Training and Research Hospital, Ankara/TURKEY Ectopia lentis et pupillae is a rare congenital hereditary disorder usually characterized with a combination of ectopia lentis and pupillary abnormalities, but without systemic manifestations. We hereby report a patient with bilateral ectopia lentis et pupillae presenting with spontaneous crystalline lens dislocation into the vitreous and subsequent retinal detachment in one eye, and lens subluxation with cataract in the fellow eye; and discuss treatment strategy with visual rehabilitation alternatives.
