We present a 55-year-old woman with a diagnosis of traumatic partial aniridia and aphakia. Visual acuity was “counting fingers from 50 cm” and intraocular pressure was 18 mmHg on the traumatized right eye. Anterior segment examination revealed a clear cornea, partial aniridia and total iridodialysis at the superior quadrant. The optical axis was closed with the residual iris. The crystalline lens was absent. Ultrasonography of the posterior segment was normal with no retinal detachment or crystalline lens image. The patient underwent anterior vitrectomy, iridoplasty, and iris reconstruction lens implantation by scleral fixation (Ophtec 311 Aniridia Lens II, brown). On the postoperative first day, the best corrected visual acuity was 0.4 and the patient was pleased with the color and tone match with the left eye. Keywords : Aniridia, traumatic aniridia, aphakia, iris reconstruction lens
