Congenital Glaucoma; The Clinics-Diagnosis

İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı İstanbul, Prof. Dr. Primary congenital glaucoma is the most common form of developmental glaucomas, which has an isolated maldevelopment of the outflow pathways. Epiphora (excessive tearing), photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), and blepharospasm (squeezing of the eyelids) are the classic triad of PCG. Buphthalmus, corneal enlargement and clouding and tears in Descemet's membran (Haab's striae) result from elevated intraocular pressure. In this paper, the clinics, the diagnostic methods and the differential diagnosis of PCG is described.
