A 60-year-old man with psuedoexfoliation syndrome and nuclear cataract in his both eyes was diagnosed to have narrow angle glaucoma and was performed Nd:YAG laser iridotomy for prophlaxis. One day after the application, the patient presented with progressive vision loss in his right eye. His cristallin lens was dislocated inferotemporally in the right eye.
Despite the relatively low incidence of complications, Nd:YAG laser iridotomy is not a procedure without risks. It is wise to avoid high energy levels during the laser iridotomy procedure especially in eyes with zonular weakness.
Keywords : Nd:YAG laser iridotomy, cristallin lens dislocation
